2. UAE Bans Veterinary Use of Ciprofloxacin
A nationwide restriction on the veterinary use of ciprofloxacin will take effect on November 1, 2026.
The ban covers veterinary medicines and raw materials containing the antibiotic. The measure forms part of the UAE's efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance and encourage the responsible use of antibiotics.
The change is particularly relevant to veterinary clinics, animal healthcare providers, farms and businesses that handle veterinary medicines.
3. Dubai Winter Camping Season Begins at Al Ruwayyah
Dubai's winter camping season will run from November 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027, with Dubai Municipality expanding facilities at Al Ruwayyah.
The 2026–2027 season will offer 600 camping plots, representing an approximately 120% increase in capacity. New facilities include caravan plots and camps available for daily rental.
UAE nationals can register and reserve camping plots online through Dubai Municipality.
The expanded facilities will give residents more opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities during the cooler months.
4. Etihad Rail to Open Two New Passenger Stations
Etihad Rail is scheduled to open two passenger stations in Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra region on November 30, 2026.
The new stations in Zayed City and Liwa will provide additional travel options for residents and visitors travelling to the western region of Abu Dhabi.
The openings have been brought forward to coincide with the area's festival season. They will also expand the UAE's passenger rail network and improve regional connectivity.
5. UAE Flag Day on November 3
The UAE will celebrate Flag Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with flag-raising ceremonies expected across government offices, schools, businesses and communities.
The annual occasion celebrates national unity, pride and loyalty to the country.
Flag Day is a national observance rather than an official public holiday. Schools, offices and businesses generally continue operating as usual.
