UAE Weather: Rain Lashes Eastern Emirates as Temperatures Begin to Drop

Rain has hit parts of the UAE’s eastern regions as changing weather conditions bring the possibility of further showers and falling temperatures.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast partly cloudy skies, with convective clouds developing over eastern and southern areas.

Unsettled conditions are expected to continue in the coming days, particularly across mountainous and eastern regions.

More Rain Expected Across the UAE

Rainfall is expected to continue in parts of the country as moisture and cloud development create favourable conditions for further showers.

Fujairah, Kalba and other eastern areas may experience rainfall, while inland and northern locations could also see showers at different times.

As weather conditions may vary between emirates, residents are advised to follow the latest NCM forecasts and official alerts for updates.

Temperatures Ease as Winds Strengthen

Temperatures are expected to move closer to the mid-30s in several areas, although inland locations may remain hotter.

Forecast highs for October 14 include around 38°C in Dubai and Sharjah and 39°C in Abu Dhabi.

Winds are expected to remain light to moderate but may strengthen during cloud development, with gusts reaching up to 50km/h in some inland and mountainous areas.

These conditions could stir up dust and reduce visibility on roads.

Residents Advised to Take Weather Precautions

Humidity is expected to increase overnight and into Thursday morning, raising the possibility of mist or fog in some coastal and inland areas.

Drivers should remain alert, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and reduce speed when visibility is poor.

Residents visiting mountainous areas should also exercise caution during rainfall and avoid flooded valleys and wadis.

With showers potentially continuing through the weekend, checking official weather forecasts before travelling can help residents prepare for changing conditions.
