UAE Parents Value Confidence-Building for Children

Parents across the UAE are prioritising confidence, resilience and social skills in their children, according to a survey of 2,000 parents.

The findings show that families are focusing on personal development beyond academic achievements.

These skills can help children become more independent and better prepared to handle everyday challenges.

Parents increasingly recognise the importance of emotional well-being in their children’s growth.

Confidence Is a Parent’s Priority

The Warrior Academy survey found that 61% of parents prioritise building their children’s confidence, while 36% want to help them overcome fear and develop self-discipline.

Another 28% highlighted concentration as an important area of development.

Bullying also remains a major concern, with 22% of parents identifying it as their primary worry.

Parents want children to develop the confidence and social skills needed to seek help and handle difficult situations.

Parents Encouraged to Support Children’s Development

Warrior Academy founder Sebastian Bates encouraged parents to use school breaks to assess their children’s social and emotional development.

Parents can build confidence by encouraging new experiences, celebrating achievements and maintaining open communication.

The academy’s Dubai centre in Jumeirah Islands offers martial arts training for children aged two to 17, focusing on confidence, discipline and leadership.

The findings highlight the importance of supporting children’s emotional, social and academic growth.
