UAE Weather Forecast: Rain, 50km/h Winds and Temperatures Up to 41°C
The UAE is expected to experience unsettled weather on Wednesday, October 21, with rain possible in several areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Convective clouds are forecast to develop over eastern regions before extending towards some inland and western areas during the afternoon.
Winds could strengthen to 50km/h in inland and mountainous locations, raising dust and potentially reducing visibility.
Despite the chance of rainfall, temperatures are expected to remain high, reaching 41°C in inland areas.
Residents have been advised to follow changing weather conditions as the forecast points to further developments during the week.
Rain Forecast Across Eastern and Inland Areas
The weather is being influenced by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper-air low-pressure system.
These conditions may encourage cloud formation and scattered showers, particularly across eastern parts of the country.
Some inland and western locations could also experience rainfall as clouds move across the UAE during the afternoon.
However, showers are not guaranteed in every emirate, and conditions may vary considerably between locations.
Residents planning outdoor activities should check local forecasts before travelling, especially in areas where rain and changing visibility are possible.
Strong Winds, Dust and High Temperatures
Winds are expected to blow from the southeast to northeast at speeds of around 10–25km/h, becoming stronger during cloud development.
Gusts could reach 50km/h in inland and mountainous areas, while coastal areas and islands may experience speeds of up to 35km/h.
The stronger winds could carry dust and sand, creating difficult driving conditions in exposed locations.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to range from 35°C to 41°C inland, 34°C to 38°C along the coast and islands, and 26°C to 32°C in mountainous areas.
Motorists should reduce speed when visibility drops and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
Thursday Rain Chances and Morning Mist
The unsettled conditions could continue on Thursday, October 22, with further cloud development expected over eastern and western parts of the country during the afternoon.
Winds may reach 40km/h at times, bringing additional blowing dust.
Humidity is forecast to increase overnight and into Thursday morning, potentially reaching 90 per cent in some coastal and inland areas.
These conditions could lead to mist or reduced visibility in certain locations, particularly during early journeys.
Residents should monitor official weather updates throughout the week and take extra care when driving in rain, dust or mist.
