Dubai's Parkin to provide parking services at JLT for 10 years as it renews contract

Parkin has renewed its parking services agreement with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) for another 10 years, ensuring the continuation of its parking operations in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT).

Under the renewed agreement, the Dubai-based parking operator will take exclusive responsibility for managing and operating approximately 2,800 paid parking spaces across JLT, including 250 designated motorcycle parking spaces. The company will also install solar power infrastructure as part of its operations.

The agreement comes as Parkin continues to strengthen its presence in Dubai while exploring opportunities to expand its parking management services into markets outside the UAE.

Parkin to Manage 2,800 Parking Spaces in JLT

The renewed agreement will allow Parkin to continue overseeing daily parking operations across JLT, one of Dubai's prominent mixed-use communities.

Its responsibilities will include managing parking facilities and providing payment options through its digital and physical channels. The aim is to make parking more convenient, efficient and accessible for residents, businesses and visitors.

Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Parkin Company PJSC, said JLT remained an important part of the company's portfolio.

He added that Parkin looked forward to building on its existing operations and further improving the parking experience for the community.

The installation of solar power infrastructure is another component of the agreement, supporting the development of more sustainable parking facilities.

Parkin Explores Expansion Opportunities Outside the UAE

Alongside its continued investment in Dubai, Parkin is assessing opportunities to expand its operations into international markets.

Mohamed Al Ali said the company was exploring different business models for overseas expansion, including parking management technology operations and advisory partnerships.

Al Ali highlighted the potential to transfer Parkin's expertise to other markets across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the wider region.

The company is currently assessing geopolitical developments and waiting for the right time to announce its next expansion plans.

Parking Technology and Smart Mobility Drive Growth

Parkin's potential international expansion comes amid growing investment in urban development, smart cities and mobility infrastructure.

The company's experience in parking management and technology could provide opportunities to support cities seeking more efficient parking systems and improved mobility services.

According to Al Ali, Parkin has more than three decades of experience in parking management and technology, capabilities that could be applied to markets across the GCC and beyond.

By exploring technology operations and advisory partnerships, the company could pursue international growth through different approaches rather than relying solely on directly managing parking facilities.

Parkin Strengthens Dubai Operations While Planning Future Growth

The 10-year renewal of the DMCC agreement reinforces Parkin's position in Dubai's parking management sector and extends its role in supporting one of the emirate's major business and residential communities.

With approximately 2,800 paid parking spaces under its management in JLT, the company will continue focusing on operational efficiency, digital payment services and infrastructure improvements.

At the same time, its assessment of international opportunities signals a broader growth strategy focused on applying its parking management expertise to other markets.

As Parkin evaluates regional expansion opportunities, its existing operations in Dubai will remain an important part of its business while the company determines the right timing and model for its next phase of growth.
