Air travel across the UAE continues to experience changes on October 27, with cancellations and delays affecting several domestic airport operations and international routes.

Airlines have reported disruptions involving services between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, alongside selected flights to other regional and international destinations.

At the same time, airports are increasing capacity ahead of the busy winter travel season.

Departing seat capacity across UAE airports reached 7.2 million in October, representing a 23% rise compared with June.

Travellers should check their booking details before leaving for the airport, as schedules may change at short notice.

Saudi Arabia Routes Face Continued Disruptions

Several UAE–Saudi Arabia services remain affected by cancellations and operational changes.

Etihad Airways has extended cancellations on flights between Abu Dhabi and Dammam and Riyadh until November 5, with selected Jeddah services also suspended through that date.

Emirates has listed cancellations on routes connecting Dubai with Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh, while some Medina services continue to operate.

Flydubai has reported cancellations on selected routes, although flight information for several Saudi destinations remains unavailable.

Passengers should confirm individual flight details directly with their airline before making travel arrangements.

Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah Report Flight Changes

Dubai International Airport has listed several cancelled arrivals from destinations including Jeddah, Riyadh, Moscow and Damascus, while delays have affected selected services from other cities.

At Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, some Etihad arrivals have also been delayed.

Air Arabia has reported cancellations on selected routes departing from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, including services to parts of the Middle East, South Asia and Africa.

Iranian airline services to and from the UAE remain suspended until further notice.

Travellers should check updated departure and arrival information, including any changes to connecting flights.

Winter Flight Capacity Expands as Travellers Prepare

Despite ongoing disruptions, UAE airports and airlines are preparing for increased winter travel demand.

Dubai recorded approximately 4.6 million departing seats in October, while Abu Dhabi recorded 1.7 million and Sharjah 840,000.

Emirates offered around 3.1 million seats, while flydubai increased its capacity by 27.5% compared with June.

Additional services between Dubai and European destinations are expected to return gradually through December.

Passengers should monitor airline announcements, review rebooking and refund options where applicable, and arrive according to their airline’s check-in requirements.

Checking official flight information remains essential before every journey.
