UAE Flag Day 2026: Drone Show, Flag Garden and 11am Celebrations

The UAE will mark Flag Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with nationwide ceremonies and special public events.

The annual occasion brings together citizens and residents to celebrate national identity, unity and pride.

Government departments, schools, universities, businesses and families are encouraged to raise the national flag at exactly 11am.

The day also marks the beginning of a month of celebrations leading up to Eid Al Etihad on December 2.

Flag Day is not a public holiday, so schools and offices will follow their regular schedules.

Global Village to Host a 1,000-Drone Show

Dubai's Global Village is preparing a special evening celebration, with 1,000 illuminated drones scheduled to create colourful formations inspired by the UAE flag.

The display will take place at 8pm on November 3.

Visitors can also expect national flags across the destination and illuminated landmarks featuring the country's colours.

Guests will receive UAE flags on arrival, while the UAE Pavilion will showcase traditional handicrafts, local products and Emirati specialities.

Flag Garden Returns to Umm Suqeim Beach

Another major attraction is the return of Dubai's Flag Garden at Umm Suqeim Beach, close to the Burj Al Arab.

More than 11,000 UAE flags have been arranged to create a large-scale tribute to the country's Founding Fathers, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Visitors can walk around the installation and enjoy designated viewing points.

The attraction opens on November 3, remains free to visit and is scheduled to stay until January 2027.

Residents Can Celebrate from Home and Workplaces

People who prefer to celebrate privately can display the UAE flag at their homes, balconies or workplaces.

Residents are encouraged to ensure that flags remain clean and in good condition, following the country's flag guidelines.

The nationwide 11am ceremony provides an opportunity for communities across all seven emirates to participate together.

With public displays, cultural activities and family attractions planned, Flag Day 2026 offers several ways to take part in the national occasion.
