Dubai Opens First Outdoor Workspace at Al Barsha Pond Park
Dubai has opened its first dedicated outdoor workspace at Al Barsha Pond Park, introducing a new way for residents and professionals to work outside traditional office environments.
The facility is part of the city's Work From Park initiative, which aims to combine productivity, nature and community activities in public spaces.
Developed through a partnership involving Dubai Municipality, AMANA Group and Letswork, the project offers flexible facilities for freelancers, entrepreneurs and hybrid employees.
The launch took place on November 2, 2026, marking a new development in Dubai's approach to modern working environments.
Flexible Workspaces and Modern Facilities
The new destination provides several options, including shared work areas, temporary desks, private offices and meeting rooms.
It also features dedicated spaces for events, creative production and podcast recording.
Visitors can choose facilities according to their working needs, whether they require a quiet place for individual tasks or an area for professional discussions.
The combination of work and leisure facilities is designed to make public parks more useful for different members of the community.
Free Outdoor Areas and Paid Office Options
People can use the outdoor working areas without paying an access fee, while equipped office facilities are available from Dh50 per day.
The initiative operates between 8am and 8pm, offering different arrangements depending on the space and services selected.
Letswork manages access to the facilities through its platform, allowing users to explore the available workspace options.
This flexible arrangement gives residents alternatives to working from home, cafés or conventional offices.
Dubai Expands Its Vision for Public Parks
The project reflects Dubai's wider efforts to transform public parks into multi-purpose community destinations.
By introducing professional facilities alongside green surroundings, the initiative supports flexible working, creativity and opportunities for professional networking.
The development also uses modular construction methods designed to improve resource efficiency and reduce waste.
Dubai plans to explore the concept further as part of its long-term urban development and quality-of-life ambitions.
