1. Indica Long-Grain Rice

Indica rice is the dominant rice type across much of the world.

It is primarily grown in tropical and subtropical regions including India, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, southern China, Cambodia and Brazil.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, ordinary Indica rice accounts for roughly 62–66% of global rice trade, making it by far the largest international rice category. 

Indica grains are generally long and slender. After cooking, they tend to remain relatively separate rather than becoming very sticky.
