Sharjah has completed several access roads leading to Expo Centre Sharjah ahead of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2026). The improvements aim to reduce traffic congestion and provide smoother journeys for thousands of visitors expected to attend the event.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) confirmed that the routes are ready in line with the launch of the international book fair.

New Roads to Improve Access to Expo Centre Sharjah

The new access arrangements are designed to improve connectivity around Expo Centre Sharjah, one of the emirate’s key venues for exhibitions and international events.

The road improvements are expected to make it easier for visitors to reach the exhibition centre, particularly during busy periods when visitor numbers and traffic volumes increase.

Key Roads Connected to the Exhibition Centre

According to the SRTA, the updated access routes include connections around several important roads and locations, including:

Al Corniche Road
Al Ittihad Road
Al Arab Mall
Industrial Area 7
These connections are intended to provide visitors with improved access to the exhibition venue from surrounding areas.

Traffic Improvements Ahead of SIBF 2026

The completion of the roads is part of Sharjah's efforts to manage increased traffic during the Sharjah International Book Fair.

With thousands of visitors expected at the event, the improved road network aims to support smoother traffic movement, reduce congestion around the venue and make journeys more convenient for residents and visitors.

The updated routes are expected to play an important role in improving accessibility throughout the book fair.
