Rain Hits Parts of Fujairah as Unsettled Weather Continues Across Eastern UAE

Several Fujairah Areas Receive Rainfall

Several areas of Fujairah experienced rainfall on Wednesday, November 4, as unstable weather conditions affected the eastern region of the UAE.

Showers were reported in Masafi, Dafta, Mirbah, Dibba, Sharm and Dhadna, leaving roads wet and skies cloudy.

Rain clouds developed over the mountainous areas, bringing changing weather conditions to parts of the emirate.

The showers followed forecasts of possible rainfall across eastern and northern parts of the country.

Weather Conditions and Temperatures Across the UAE

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) had forecast generally fair to partly cloudy skies, with convective clouds developing over some eastern and northern locations.

Fujairah temperatures were expected to range between approximately 27°C and 32°C.

Across the country, inland areas could reach 38°C, while coastal locations were forecast to record temperatures between 33°C and 36°C.

Mountainous regions were expected to experience comparatively cooler conditions.

More Showers Expected Until Saturday

The weather department has forecast further chances of rain on Thursday and Friday, particularly across eastern and northern areas during the afternoon.

Rainfall may be intermittent, meaning some locations could receive showers while others remain dry.

Conditions on Friday could also bring stronger winds reaching speeds of around 40 kilometres per hour, with blowing dust possible in exposed areas.

The eastern region may continue to experience occasional rainfall on Saturday.

Weather Conditions Expected to Improve on Sunday

The unsettled weather is linked to a weak surface pressure system combined with an extension of a weak upper-air low-pressure system.

Humidity levels could reach 90 per cent in some coastal and inland areas overnight and on Thursday morning, increasing the possibility of fog or mist.

Winds may occasionally strengthen, while sea conditions are expected to remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.

Weather conditions are forecast to become generally fair to partly cloudy on Sunday.
