UAE Opens Applications for Dh1 Billion Industrial Resilience Fund
Online Application Portal Now Active
The UAE has opened applications for its Dh1 billion National Industrial Resilience Fund, giving eligible manufacturers an opportunity to access financial support for new projects and business expansion.
Emirates Development Bank (EDB), working with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), has activated the online application portal.
The initiative aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing, improve supply chain security and encourage the use of advanced technologies.
Both new factories and existing industrial companies in eligible sectors have been invited to apply.
Priority for Strategic Manufacturing Projects
The fund will focus on industries considered important to the UAE's long-term economic and supply chain security.
Priority areas include pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, food production and food processing, alongside other approved strategic sectors.
Projects that support local production, reduce dependence on imported goods and strengthen domestic supply networks will receive particular attention.
Manufacturers planning new facilities, expanding production capacity or developing integrated industrial operations can apply, subject to the programme's eligibility requirements.
Financing Available for Factory Expansion and Technology
The programme provides financing for capital investments such as factory construction, production lines, machinery, expansion projects and integrated storage facilities.
It can also support strategic inventory requirements, supplier payments and working capital to help businesses increase output.
The initiative encourages manufacturers to adopt advanced production methods, including industrial artificial intelligence and automation.
These measures are intended to improve productivity while supporting the development of more resilient local industries.
Key Financing Benefits for Eligible Companies
Under the programme, eligible industrial projects can receive financing at zero per cent interest until the end of the fund's programme period, subject to an annual service fee of 0.75 per cent.
Funding is capped at Dh100 million per business group, while capital expenditure support can cover up to 80 per cent of eligible project costs.
The five-year fund was announced in April 2026 and forms part of the UAE's wider industrial development strategy.
Applications will be assessed according to the fund's conditions and the bank's credit requirements.
