World Triathlon Women’s Cup Returns to Dubai on December 6
Dubai will welcome the World Triathlon Women’s Cup on December 6, 2026, bringing international elite competitors and amateur athletes to Al Mamzar Beach Park.
The event aims to celebrate women’s participation in sport while giving athletes of different experience levels an opportunity to compete.
Registration is open to women aged 18 and above, including beginners preparing for their first triathlon.
The competition will mark the second edition of the women-focused event worldwide.
It also strengthens Dubai’s position as a host for major international sporting events.
Dubai Event Welcomes Athletes of All Abilities
The competition is organised by Dubai Sports Council in partnership with World Triathlon and the UAE Triathlon Federation.
Its broader goal is to encourage more women and girls to participate in sport and adopt active lifestyles.
Participants can select between two amateur formats, depending on their fitness and experience.
The Super Sprint includes a 400-metre swim, a 10-kilometre cycle and a 2.5-kilometre run.
The Sprint distance consists of a 750-metre swim, a 20-kilometre cycle and a five-kilometre run.
Elite Race Offers Olympic Ranking Points
Professional competitors will take on the Sprint distance, with the winner set to earn 500 Olympic Ranking points.
The organisers are expected to announce the elite participants closer to race day.
Both amateur formats will allow women to participate individually or form relay teams of up to three members.
A separate Emirati category will recognise the top three finishers in individual and team competitions.
These options are designed to make the event accessible while maintaining a competitive platform for experienced athletes.
Entry Fees and Weekend Activities Announced
Early-bird registration costs Dh240 for individual participants and Dh480 for relay teams until November 13.
From November 14, the fees will increase to Dh300 and Dh600, respectively.
The event village is scheduled to open on December 5, ahead of the main competition.
Planned activities include family entertainment, wellness sessions and discussions covering nutrition and mental wellbeing.
By combining international racing with community activities, Dubai aims to create an inclusive sporting experience that encourages greater female participation.
