UAE weather forecast: Rain expected for five days, winds to reach 50km/h

The UAE is expected to experience five days of unsettled weather, with a chance of rainfall continuing until Monday, November 2, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The forecast includes convective clouds over eastern and northern areas, possible showers, strong winds reaching 50km/h in mountainous regions, and a risk of fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas.

The NCM attributed the weather pattern to an extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper-air low-pressure system.

UAE Weather Forecast: Rain and Strong Winds Expected

In its latest weather bulletin, the NCM forecast fair to partly cloudy conditions, with convective clouds developing over northern and eastern areas. These clouds could extend to some inland regions and bring rainfall.

Winds are expected to remain light to moderate but may become fresh to strong at times, particularly when clouds develop. Blowing dust is also possible.
South-easterly to north-easterly winds could reach:

Coastal areas: 35km/h

Inland areas: 45km/h

Mountainous regions: 50km/h

Temperatures are expected to range between 35°C and 39°C in inland areas, 33°C and 37°C along the coast and on islands, and 26°C and 32°C in mountainous regions.

Friday Forecast: Chance of Rain and Mist

On Friday, fair to partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue, with a chance of convective clouds bringing rainfall to eastern areas.

Winds could reach 40km/h, potentially causing blowing dust in some locations.

Humidity is expected to increase overnight and into Saturday morning, creating the possibility of mist formation in western areas.

Saturday: Possible Showers in Eastern Areas

Similar weather conditions are forecast for Saturday, with partly cloudy skies and a chance of rainfall in eastern regions.

Winds could reach speeds of 40km/h, while increased humidity may contribute to mist formation in some areas.

Residents are advised to remain aware of changing weather conditions, particularly when travelling through areas affected by dust or reduced visibility.

Sunday, November 1: Rain and Fog Risks Continue

The NCM expects further convective cloud development on Sunday, November 1, with possible rainfall in eastern areas.

Humidity is forecast to increase overnight and into Monday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist over some coastal and inland regions.

Winds could reach 40km/h during the day.

Monday, November 2: Unsettled Weather May Persist

Unsettled conditions are expected to continue into Monday, November 2, with another chance of rainfall in eastern areas.

Fog or mist may develop overnight and into Tuesday morning in some coastal and inland locations.

Winds are forecast to reach 40km/h, while cloud development could bring further changes to local weather conditions.

Sea Conditions Expected to Remain Calm

Despite the possibility of rainfall and stronger winds, sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea throughout the five-day forecast period.

Residents should follow official NCM updates for the latest information on rainfall, wind speeds and visibility, particularly when planning travel during early morning hours or in areas prone to fog and blowing dust.
