UAE Restaurants Reopening in 2026: Hakkasan, Scalini, Tattu Dubai and More Return

The UAE dining scene is gathering momentum again after the quieter summer months, with several well-known restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi reopening, relocating or returning with refreshed concepts.

From Michelin-starred Cantonese dining at Atlantis The Palm to sky-high Asian cuisine in Dubai Marina, diners have plenty of familiar names to rediscover during the final months of 2026. Several venues have used temporary closures to renovate interiors, update menus or introduce new experiences. 

Scalini Dubai Reopens After Renovation

Italian favourite Scalini Dubai is welcoming diners again at Restaurant Village beside Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.

The restaurant has refreshed its setting while maintaining the Italian character for which it is known. Its official website currently lists the Jumeirah venue as open daily from noon until midnight. 

The reopening gives regular guests another reason to return as Dubai enters its busy autumn and winter dining season.

Tattu Dubai Returns High Above Dubai Marina

Tattu Dubai has also returned at Ciel Dubai Marina, occupying Level 74 of the landmark hotel.

The contemporary Asian restaurant combines elevated dining with panoramic views across Dubai. Its current experiences include a business lunch and afternoon tea, while additional dining and entertainment concepts are being introduced. 

Ciel Dubai Marina rises 377 metres and is recognised as the world's tallest hotel, adding another distinctive setting to Dubai's restaurant scene. 

Hakkasan Dubai Preparing to Reopen

Another major return is Hakkasan Dubai at Atlantis The Palm, which is scheduled to reopen on September 23, 2026 following a temporary summer closure.

The Michelin-starred restaurant, led by executive chef Andy Toh, is known for contemporary Cantonese cooking and is expected to return with its signature dishes alongside refreshed beverage options. 

Atlantis currently lists Hakkasan among its Michelin-starred dining experiences at Atlantis The Palm. 

Andaliman Moves to a New Home at One Za'abeel

Indonesian restaurant Andaliman has undergone more than a simple reopening — it has moved.

The restaurant is now located on Level 24 of The Link at One Za'abeel, replacing its previous poolside setting with an elevated venue overlooking Dubai.

Its menu focuses on Indonesian flavours, including sambals and dishes prepared using a coconut-husk grill. Tableside sambal preparation remains part of the experience. 

Hitchki Returns to Deira

Bollywood-inspired Hitchki Dubai has reopened at Novotel Dubai Gold District in Deira, now operating under Phoenix Hospitality Group.

The venue has returned with refreshed interiors, an updated Indian menu, live entertainment and a new shisha lounge. 

Its comeback adds another option to Deira's already diverse Indian dining and entertainment scene.

COYA Abu Dhabi Welcomes Guests Back

The reopening activity is not limited to Dubai.

COYA Abu Dhabi, located at Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island, is back after enhancement work carried out during a brief closure.

The restaurant continues to focus on contemporary Peruvian cuisine and currently has a full calendar of dining experiences and events in September. 

Shimmers Returns at Madinat Jumeirah

Beachfront favourite Shimmers at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam has returned for evening dining, bringing its Greek and Mediterranean menu back to the shoreline.

The official Jumeirah listing currently shows the restaurant operating daily, with its beachside setting and casual dining atmosphere remaining central to the experience. 

Lunch service is also scheduled to expand as the cooler season develops. 

The Grill Returns in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi's The Grill at Marriott Al Forsan is scheduled to reopen on September 24.

The steakhouse will return with a menu built around premium meat cuts, including Australian Wagyu and USDA Prime beef. 

The reopening adds another established name to Abu Dhabi's expanding restaurant calendar this autumn.

Tapasake Preparing for a Major Comeback

Tapasake at One Za'abeel is also preparing to return later in 2026 following a significant revamp.

The restaurant is expected to reopen alongside its infinity pool with a new Sky Lounge and a menu combining Japanese cooking with Mediterranean influences.

An exact reopening date has yet to be confirmed. 

The restaurant is currently still listed as temporarily closed on dining platforms, so guests should confirm its status before planning a visit. 

UAE Dining Scene Gears Up for the Cooler Season

The wave of reopenings comes as Dubai and Abu Dhabi move into the busier outdoor dining and tourism season.

Rather than simply returning after summer, several restaurants are using their comeback to introduce new menus, upgraded interiors, different locations and additional dining experiences.

For UAE residents and visitors, that means familiar names such as Scalini, Hakkasan, Tattu, COYA and Shimmers are once again becoming part of the country's dining calendar  while revamped venues such as Andaliman and Tapasake are offering something new.
