4. Cone Snails
Their shells may look beautiful, but some cone snails possess highly potent venom.
Cone snails use a harpoon-like tooth to inject venom into prey. Certain species can also seriously injure humans.
They are commonly found in tropical waters, particularly around coral reefs.
Rule to Remember
Never collect unfamiliar cone-shaped shells with your bare hands, especially if the animal is still inside.
