Stonefish are considered among the most venomous fish in the world.
Their camouflage allows them to blend almost perfectly with rocks, coral and the seabed. Stepping on one can drive venomous dorsal spines into the foot.
The sting can cause extreme pain, swelling and potentially serious complications.
Stonefish are found throughout parts of the Indo-Pacific region.
