Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026: 1-billion step goal announced for some residents

Dubai Residential has announced a target of one billion steps across 21 residential communities to encourage residents to stay active during the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) 2026.

The initiative aims to bring together more than 146,000 residents around a shared fitness goal in support of the DFC’s popular 30x30 challenge. Dubai Residential, which owns and operates one of Dubai’s largest residential leasing portfolios, is organising the initiative in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Sports Council.

How Residents Can Participate

Residents can take part by downloading the fitze app, which tracks daily steps and offers rewards based on fitness goals.

The initiative will run from October 31 to November 29, 2026. All steps recorded through the app during this period will contribute towards the collective one-billion-step target.

Talabat to Offer Hydration Support and Rewards

Talabat will serve as the exclusive hydration partner for community fitness events throughout the month. It will also offer complimentary Talabat Pro subscriptions to residents and families who attend these events.

The initiative aims to make physical activity more accessible and engaging for residents across Dubai's residential communities.

Residents who record the highest number of steps will have the opportunity to win additional rewards.

The top five participants overall will each receive a 12-month Careem Plus membership.

The next five participants will each receive a six-month Careem Plus membership.

These rewards are designed to encourage residents to remain active and participate throughout the challenge.

Residents Can Win Dh1 Million in Rewards

In addition to the step-based rewards, participants will have the chance to win from Dh1 million worth of rewards through the fitze app during the Dubai Fitness Challenge.

The rewards will include international trips, hotel stays, dining experiences, shopping vouchers and other offers.

Running from October 31 to November 29, the Dubai Fitness Challenge encourages residents to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days.

Dubai Residential’s one-billion-step initiative adds a community-wide goal to the campaign, encouraging residents to build healthier habits, stay active and work together towards a shared fitness milestone.
