Visit Dubai to offer single-, multiple-entry tourist visa applications

Tourists planning to visit Dubai will soon be able to apply for single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas through Visit Dubai, the emirate's official tourism website.

The new initiative, announced on Sunday, November 1, 2026, aims to make the visa application process easier by bringing travel planning and visa services together on one digital platform.

Visitors already use Visit Dubai to explore attractions, discover events, book tickets and plan holidays. The new service will add tourist visa applications to these existing features, offering travellers a more convenient way to organise their trips.

Dubai Tourist Visa Applications to Be Available on Visit Dubai

Under the new initiative, travellers requiring a prearranged tourist visa will have another option for submitting their applications.

A dedicated visa information section is already available on the Visit Dubai website. It provides details about different tourist visa categories, application fees, required documents and processing times.

According to the website, a 30-day single-entry tourist visa starts at Dh200, excluding VAT. Applications are typically processed within three working days.

The new service is expected to simplify the process by allowing tourists to access travel information and visa-related services through the same platform.

What Changes for Tourists Visiting Dubai?

Currently, international travellers who require a prearranged tourist visa can apply through existing government channels, authorised travel agencies and airlines, including Emirates and flydubai.

With the new initiative, Visit Dubai will provide an additional digital channel for tourist visa applications.

However, the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) will continue to review applications and issue visas.

Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, said that enabling visa applications through Visit Dubai would help integrate services into a single digital journey while maintaining security and efficiency.

Further details about the launch and application process are expected to be announced in due course.

Which Dubai Tourist Visa Types Are Available?

According to the Visit Dubai website, travellers who require a tourist visa can currently explore three main categories:

Single-entry tourist visa: Allows visitors to enter Dubai once.

Multiple-entry tourist visa: Allows visitors to enter and leave Dubai multiple times within the visa's validity.

Five-year multiple-entry visa: Provides a longer-term option for eligible frequent travellers.

Both single-entry and multiple-entry tourist visas are available in 30-day and 60-day options.

The website also provides information about visa-on-arrival eligibility and entry requirements.

Who Can Visit Dubai Without Applying for a Tourist Visa?

Visa requirements depend on a traveller's nationality and residency status.

According to Visit Dubai:

Citizens of more than 80 countries are eligible for a visa on arrival.

GCC nationals can enter the UAE without a visa.

GCC residents can apply for an e-visa.

Travellers who are not eligible for visa-free entry or visa on arrival need to arrange a suitable visa before travelling.

Visitors should check the latest entry requirements before booking their flights.

Dubai Introduces Dubai Access Club for Repeat Visitors

Alongside the new visa application initiative, Dubai has announced another measure to strengthen its tourism sector: the Dubai Access Club.

This invitation-only membership programme will offer repeat visitors exclusive benefits and experiences across the city.

The initiative aims to encourage tourists to return to Dubai and build stronger connections with the emirate through special experiences and privileges.

Dubai Moves Towards a More Connected Digital Tourism Experience

Both initiatives form part of Dubai's broader efforts to improve its tourism services and visitor experience.

The visa application service is connected to the Shared Digital Channels Initiative, which aims to bring government services together through unified digital platforms.

By combining travel planning, tourist information and visa applications, Dubai aims to reduce the need for visitors to navigate multiple websites and applications.
