Dubai Stocks Surge to Seven-Month High as Market Value Crosses Dh1 Trillion

Dubai's stock market has recorded its strongest daily performance in seven months, pushing its total market capitalisation above Dh1 trillion once again.

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) General Index climbed 3.95 per cent on Wednesday, November 4, gaining 229.88 points to close at 6,040.74.

This marked its biggest single-day increase since April 8, 2026.

The market's overall value rose from Dh967.22 billion to more than Dh1 trillion.

The strong performance reflected widespread gains across several major business sectors.

Real Estate, Banking and Telecom Shares Lead the Rally

Several major sectors contributed to the market's impressive recovery, with telecommunications recording the strongest growth of 7.81 per cent.

Real estate shares advanced by 4.2 per cent, while banking stocks gained 3.99 per cent.

Industrial companies also performed well, recording an increase of 4.14 per cent.

Emaar Properties shares climbed 4.4 per cent, while Emaar Development gained 4.89 per cent.

These gains helped strengthen investor confidence and supported the overall market recovery.

Emaar Announcement Attracts Strong Investor Interest

Emaar Properties and Emaar Development attracted significant trading activity following an announcement regarding a proposed voluntary cash offer.

Emaar Properties expressed its intention to acquire up to 100 per cent of the issued and paid-up capital of Emaar Development.

The announcement contributed to increased attention towards both companies, whose shares accounted for a substantial portion of market trading activity.

The Dubai Financial Market recorded trading activity worth approximately Dh2.1 billion on Wednesday. More than 371 million shares changed hands through thousands of transactions.

Dubai Market Continues Positive Momentum

The positive movement continued into Thursday, with the Dubai Financial Market trading around 6,051.23 points, up 0.17 per cent in late trading.

The return of the market's valuation above Dh1 trillion represents an important milestone for Dubai's financial sector.

Strong performances across property, banking, industrial and telecommunications companies supported the recovery.

The gains also came amid positive movements in several other Asian markets.

Investors will continue watching corporate developments and global economic conditions to assess whether the upward momentum can be sustained.
