Dubai Resolves Over Two Thousand Rental Disputes Without Court
A New Era of Conciliation
Dubai landlords and tenants are successfully skipping long court battles. They are increasingly resolving their rental disagreements through fast, amicable settlements. The city just announced some highly impressive numbers regarding this new trend.
The Dubai Rental Disputes Centre handled 2,350 amicable settlement cases recently. These resolved cases carried a massive total value of Dh401 million. Amazingly, the centre settled these disputes in an average of just six days.
These figures cover the first nine months of the year. They highlight a massive shift in how people handle property disagreements. Conciliation offers a much faster and less confrontational way to settle arguments.
How the Settlement Process Works
The process is remarkably straightforward for everyone involved. Landlords and tenants negotiate a mutually acceptable agreement together. They do this with the direct help of the centre’s specialized conciliation department.
A supervising judge must approve the final agreement. This gives the settlement the exact same legal force as a court order. It protects the rights of both the property owner and the renter perfectly.
Building Trust in the Market
Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed praised the effectiveness of this modern approach. He noted that swift resolutions protect contractual relationships and build trust in the system. It saves everyone from the stress and uncertainty of formal litigation.
