Dubai Fashion Week 2027: Emirati Designers and Global Stars Stand Out

Dubai Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2027 edition brought together regional creativity and international fashion from October 22 to 26 at Dubai Design District.

The five-day event featured established designers, emerging labels and distinctive collections inspired by culture, nature and personal expression.

From elaborate couture gowns to contemporary silhouettes, the runway offered a wide view of current fashion trends while strengthening Dubai’s position as a meeting point for the global fashion industry.

Emirati Designers Make Their Mark

Homegrown talent was an important part of this season’s programme, with Emirati labels including Onori and Kuni appearing on the official calendar.

Onori, founded by Sharifa AlHashemi, presented feminine designs featuring volume, movement and delicate floral details.

The participation of local designers highlighted the growing visibility of UAE fashion businesses and the opportunities available for regional creatives to introduce their work to international audiences.

International Collections Bring Fresh Ideas

Designers from several countries added contrasting styles to the event.

Indian couturier Pallavi Puri presented handcrafted couture featuring intricate embroidery and elaborate embellishments, while Vietnamese label L’SCARLETT explored sculptural shapes and gold-toned details.

Ukrainian brand KEL’ used butterfly symbolism to explore transformation, combining structured corsetry with decorative craftsmanship.

These varied approaches demonstrated how designers interpreted modern femininity, individuality and artistic expression through clothing.

Craftsmanship and Emerging Talent Take the Spotlight

Detailed handwork was a recurring feature, with designers combining embroidery, beadwork, florals and statement accessories.

Colombian designers also brought their perspectives to the runway through collections influenced by identity, urban landscapes and the country’s coffee-growing regions.

Meanwhile, FADTALENTS marked the tenth anniversary of the FAD Institute with a showcase featuring more than 20 emerging designers.

The presentation offered a platform for new voices experimenting with contemporary shapes and techniques.

Dubai Strengthens Its Global Fashion Presence

Beyond the runway, Dubai Fashion Week continued to connect designers with buyers and retail opportunities.

A dedicated buyer programme supported commercial engagement, while a month-long pop-up at Harvey Nichols Dubai extended selected collections into the retail space.

The combination of international participation, local talent and business opportunities reflected the event’s wider ambition.

Dubai is increasingly positioning itself not only as a destination for fashion shows, but also as a place where designers can build connections and reach new markets.
