Abu Dhabi to Host US-Brokered Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks on November 10-11
Abu Dhabi to Welcome Delegations from Three Countries
Abu Dhabi is preparing to host a new round of trilateral peace negotiations involving the United States, Russia and Ukraine on November 10 and 11, 2026.
The announcement was made by US special envoy Steve Witkoff as Washington continues its diplomatic efforts to bring the ongoing conflict to an end.
The United States will mediate working-level discussions between Russian and Ukrainian representatives.
The meeting is expected to address major obstacles to a possible peace agreement.
The UAE capital will once again serve as an important venue for international diplomacy.
Security and Humanitarian Issues on the Agenda
The upcoming discussions are expected to cover several important subjects, including post-war security arrangements, de-escalation measures and humanitarian concerns.
Negotiators will also explore possible steps towards ending the war.
These issues remain central to efforts to establish a lasting settlement between Moscow and Kyiv.
However, the two countries continue to have significant differences over the terms of a potential agreement.
The Abu Dhabi meeting is intended to help advance discussions on these complicated matters.
US Diplomats to Hold Additional Meetings in Brussels
Before the Abu Dhabi negotiations, American officials are also expected to meet representatives from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union and NATO in Brussels. Those discussions will focus on security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe's future security arrangements and financial support for Ukraine's reconstruction. US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to represent Washington in the Abu Dhabi discussions. Russia has confirmed that Vladimir Putin's aide, Vladimir Medinsky, will lead its delegation. These parallel meetings form part of a wider diplomatic effort to coordinate positions.
Fresh Diplomatic Efforts Amid Continuing Conflict
The planned negotiations come as the Russia-Ukraine war continues into its fifth year, with international efforts to find a settlement facing major challenges.
The previous US-mediated peace discussions took place in February 2026.
The new meeting represents another opportunity for the countries to discuss security concerns and possible steps towards peace.
However, no agreement has been announced, and the outcome of the November talks remains uncertain.
Abu Dhabi will be closely watched as international representatives gather to explore a possible diplomatic path forward.
