Changing SUV Trends Across the Middle East

The Middle Eastern SUV market continues to expand, giving buyers more choices across different price ranges and vehicle categories.

Traditional SUVs such as the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Land Cruiser remain important, while European luxury models, Korean crossovers and Chinese manufacturers are increasing competition.

Electrification is also reaching the premium and traditionally rugged SUV segments. Toyota offers hybrid Land Cruiser variants in selected markets, Lexus has the LX 700h, and Mercedes-Benz offers an electric version of the G-Class in the UAE.

These developments are creating a more diverse automotive market, with buyers able to choose between petrol, hybrid and electric powertrains depending on their needs.
