Seven artists featured in new Dubai exhibitions

Two exhibitions featuring the work of seven UAE-based artists have opened at Dom Art Projects in Al Quoz. Presented at Warehouse 40, Al Khayat Avenue, the shows offer visitors a look at both finished pieces and the experiments behind them.

The group exhibition, Studio, Wounds, and Battles, grew out of the space’s first Studio Support Programme. Curated by Alisa Bagdonaite, it brings together work by Aisha Alhammadi, Divyaaunshi Purohit, Joumana Mortada, Meher Afroz Vahid, Rabila Kidwai, Sara Masinaei and Teng Miras. Some pieces are complete, while others show research, sketches and ideas still taking shape.

Running alongside it is Boundaries and Breaches, a solo presentation by Dubai-based artist Sara Masinaei. Her work considers how streets, surfaces and everyday movement influence memory and our experience of a city. The exhibition includes impressions of urban surfaces and found objects gathered through her artistic process.

Dom Art Projects says its Studio Support Programme gave artists time and space to experiment without requiring a finished body of work. Visitors can therefore see parts of the creative process that often remain inside the studio, including trials and works in progress.

Studio, Wounds, and Battles runs from 23 September to 11 October 2026. Boundaries and Breaches runs from 23 September to 18 October. Both are at Dom Art Projects, Warehouse 40, Al Khayat Avenue, Al Quoz 1. Admission is free. The venue lists its opening hours as 11am to 8pm, Tuesday to Sunday; it is closed on Mondays.
