Oil Climbs Back Above $102 as Markets Watch Possible US–Iran Talks

Oil prices moved higher on Tuesday, September 22, with Brent crude climbing back above the $102-a-barrel level as investors closely monitored the possibility of renewed diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Brent crude futures for November rose by around $1.72, or 1.7%, to $102.06 a barrel, while the October US West Texas Intermediate contract gained about 1.7% to $97.40 a barrel in early trading. The move marked the first rise in oil prices after four consecutive sessions of declines.
