Rita Ora showcases Dubai in New Look vid

A frequent visitor and vocal admirer of the Emirates, British superstar Rita Ora is no stranger to producing a musical hit, so has decided to combine two of her passions - a catchy song and Dubai - in the video for her latest release, New Look, off the 2018 album, Phoenix.

Having most recently performed live in Media City for the Global Teacher Prize Concert in March and at d3's Base Dubai a few weeks previous, Ora's consistent gigs have given rise to familiarity and respect for the UAE's diverse and modern attitude. Reflected in New Look's Fast & Furious-Esque crossed with female empowerment aesthetic, the Tatia Pilieva- directed clip opens with scenes of Sheikh Zayed Road at night before Ora comes racing through the shot in a red Dodge Challenger complete with an 'R1TA' personalized number plate. We then move to a garage where Ora is resting on the car while two Arabic women mechanics are busy with shop tools preparing the vehicle for further competition.

Other prominent Dubai locations include Meydan Bridge, Al Seef, and The Creek, where a mystery man is featured on the bow of a moving dhow and as Ora's opponent in, what we can only assume was, a specially-sanctioned street race given the pursuit's usual illegality.

Ora took to her Instagram page, @ritaora, to release snippets and pictures of the New Look video on Monday, captioning the posts with comments such as: "It's time for NEW LOOK. The new video is coming to Mondaaay!! I can't wait for you all to see it. Who's excited?' and 'filming in Dubai was so much fun with these amazing cars #VisitDubai.'
