Living with arthritis? This free Dubai event is all about helping you keep doing what you love

Arthritis may change parts of your day, but it doesn’t have to make your ambitions smaller.

Arthritis can affect far more than the joints, shaping how people move, work, travel and feel day to day. This October, the Middle East Arthritis Foundation (MEAF) will bring patients, families and health experts together at Shangri-La Dubai for a free World Arthritis Day community event focused on earlier action, practical support and living well with the condition. Inspired by the global theme, Achieve Your Dreams, the event is designed to make the everyday realities of arthritis easier to understand and help people feel more confident about managing them.

Expect one-on-one conversations with healthcare specialists, insights from people living with arthritis and practical guidance on how nutrition, movement and emotional wellbeing can support medical care. There will also be dedicated guidance for women navigating fertility, pregnancy and the postpartum period.

The programme features a clinical dietitian-led nutrition workshop, alongside sessions in Tai Chi, accessible dance, mental resilience and sound healing. The RM Dreams Poster Competition will bring the event theme to life, inviting participants to creatively share their ambitions and experiences, with attendees voting for their favourite entries.
