Dubai Al Yalayis Rail Station Set to Open on 30 September

A Dubai–Abu Dhabi Comfort fare was briefly listed from Dh39, but the booking option had disappeared by the report’s 23 September update.

DUBAI, 24 September 2026 — Etihad Rail’s Dubai passenger station is scheduled to open on 30 September, giving travellers a rail connection between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The operator has confirmed the opening date for its Dubai and Al Dhaid stations as part of the next phase of the UAE passenger network.

The Dubai stop, named Al Yalayis Station, is in the Jumeirah Golf Estates area near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. It is expected to serve passengers travelling between Dubai and Mohamed bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi, adding another option for intercity journeys.

A Khaleej Times report published on 22 September said a Dubai–Abu Dhabi Comfort ticket was listed from Dh39 per person, with Premium tickets from Dh109. The newspaper later added an editor’s note: the Dubai booking option had been visible on 22 September but was no longer showing when it updated the article on 23 September. The reported prices therefore should not be treated as a currently available offer.

Etihad Rail began an introductory passenger service between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah in June. Its announced expansion schedule places the Dubai and Al Dhaid station openings on 30 September. The addition of Dubai would give residents another way to travel across the emirates, especially those who would prefer a train journey to driving.

Before making travel plans, passengers should confirm that the Dubai route appears in Etihad Rail’s official app or website and check the live fare, departure time and ticket conditions. The Dh39 figure reflects a fare seen during a brief booking window, not a confirmed price for every journey.
