9-day Eid Al Adha weekend in UAE: All you need to know
Fireworks and events
Eid tends to be the occasion of extravagant fireworks. But, owing to the ongoing regional tensions, pyrotechnics were called off around the Eid Al Fitr period. So far, there are no destinations that have announced any fireworks during the Eid Al Adha break. Here are some of the events lined up for UAE residents over the break from reflective Eid brunches to memorable performances. Broadly speaking, many will have an Arabic audience in sight, though — Kingdom of Ellera plays at the New Covent Garden Theatre Mall of the Emirates and a live Adam performance (aka Ala Bali and Khelset El Hekaya) also sets up at the Dubai Opera. For those looking for live performances from international artists, DJ Kurd Maverick and Mr Singh will provide the soundtrack to your night.
