Two right lanes on Shakhbout Bin Sultan Street to close in Al Ain

Drivers in Al Ain should expect a weekend lane closure on Shakhbout Bin Sultan Street. The two right lanes are scheduled to close at 11:45pm on Friday, 25 September, and remain closed until 6am on Monday, 28 September 2026, according to a traffic notice from Abu Dhabi Mobility.

The restriction is a partial closure, with other lanes expected to remain available. The authority’s map places the affected section near the interchange with Khalifa Bin Zayed Street, on the route towards Zayed Road.

Motorists travelling through the area over the weekend should allow extra time, watch for temporary signs and follow any traffic directions at the site. The scheduled end time falls on Monday morning, so commuters using the road early that day should check the latest road updates before travelling.
