Woman suffers 3 years of acute pain; doctors find 30.5kg tumour in ovary

A 63-year-old Filipina driver underwent a 1.5-hour surgery in Abu Dhabi to remove a massive 30.5kg ovarian tumor, experiencing full recovery. Dr. Muhieddine Seoud led the successful procedure at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), marking one of the largest tumors recorded in the UAE. The patient, Virginia Asuncion, had endured severe abdominal pain for over three years before seeking medical attention on March 23. Dr. Seoud highlighted the rarity of such large tumors and emphasized the need for emergency surgery. Asuncion expressed gratitude for the exceptional care provided by the medical team at SSMC, emphasizing their dedication and compassion throughout her journey.
