The female claimed that she insulted the man due to his indecent behaviour on social media.


An Arab female seemed in the Fujairah Court of Appeal on prices of swearing at a man after a heated argument on a social media platform.

The Court information show that the case commenced when the plaintiff lodged a criticism towards the woman at the Fujairah Police accusing her of insulting him and using abusive language on WhatsApp.

The girl was mentioned the Fujairah Public Prosecution which charged her with sending abusive messages to the complainant, and asked her punishment as according to Article 20 of the UAE Cybercrime Law No 5 of 2012.

The Fujairah Misdemeanour Court observed the girl responsible and ordered her to serve 3 months in jail, however later ordered the suspension of the prison term.

A deportation ruling was ordered towards the defendant who become additionally ordered to pay the court prices and attorney fees.

Being dissatisfied, the lady approached the better courtroom where she admitted to insulting the man but claimed she did so because of his "indecent behaviour and sexual harassment" on social media.

"He refused to supply the cosmetics I had ordered, except I sent him a video of me naked," she told the courtroom.

"I couldn't hold my mood and swore at him in a message on Whatsapp," she admitted, asking for the court docket to have mercy on her and quash the verdict of the decrease court.

"I am the victim. He (plaintiff) stressed me and wanted to peer me naked," she added. "He lodged this criticism towards me for fear that I would method the police before him and complain towards his indecent behaviour."

The courtroom ordered adjournment of the case to next week to trouble its ruling.
