Surprising rainfall hits the UAE amidst scorching temperatures
Orange alert raised in UAE due to heavy rainfall

While the UAE continues to sizzle with temperatures soaring above 45°C, residents in various parts of the country have been caught off guard by a surprising spell of wet weather. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has reported heavy to moderate rainfall in several areas, including Al Ain, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah.

The Met Department has issued yellow and orange alerts, signaling potentially hazardous weather conditions. Residents are being urged to exercise caution and take necessary safety measures when venturing outdoors.

In Al Ain, heavy rainfall has been observed in locations such as Al Foah, Al Bad', and Ishabah. Meanwhile, light rain graced the Filli area in Sharjah, and Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah also experienced some precipitation. The downpours in Al Foah led to reduced visibility on the roads, prompting motorists to navigate carefully, with some choosing to park their vehicles on the roadside to avoid potential accidents.

Abu Dhabi Police and other local authorities have called on drivers to exercise caution in light of the rainy weather and to adhere to changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

The NCM anticipates more rain on the horizon, with Wednesday's weather expected to be clear to partly cloudy at times. In the morning, low clouds are forecasted to appear on the eastern coast, with a chance of cumulus clouds forming in the afternoon, possibly accompanied by rain.

As night falls and transitions into Thursday morning, humidity levels are expected to rise, with the possibility of fog or light mist forming over certain areas.
