uae-police-seizing-your-vehicle-how-to-request-smart-impound-service

Being stopped by traffic police and having your vehicle impounded is one of the more severe punishments you can receive in the UAE. Most of the time, it goes hand in hand with a fine and a black mark on your driving history. A vehicle that has been ‘impounded’ would be taken to an impound lot and can’t be used until released.

Now, there’s a gray area to this sequence in terms of; how much time does the suspension last. For instance, the length of the time a suspension is going to be imposed in Dubai is around 30 days if you’re found tailgating, using your cell phone while in motion, or violently changing lanes.

For many there is some positive news if they ever find themselves on receiving end of an Impounding Notice. The smart vehicle impounding service allows for your vehicle to be impounded from whichever location you prefer. This gives some relief to some individuals as you can still have possession of your vehicle but be in full accordance with the laws.

What then is the smart service for which you yourself will always be in contact about? Well, authorities will implant a tracking device to your vehicle making sure that it does not get moved from the mentioned position in the form of impoundment that you completed.

Wondering how to ask for this brilliant service of impounding? Here is your manual:
