UAE Extends Support to Earthquake hit Turkey

Rescuers are working against the clock to locate survivors of the deadly earthquake in south-east Turkey amidst torrential rain and snow. 
In Turkey and across the border in Syria, more than 4,300 people have been killed and 15,000 injured with the earthquake that hit early on Monday.

The UAE extended its support for Turkey, Syria, and the victims of the enormous earthquake on Monday. The UAE also offered the two nations' people its heartfelt condolences.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President has directed a team to aid in search-and-rescue operations and set up field hospitals.

Besides providing monetary aid worth Dh50 Million and urgent relief supplies on Monday, The Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence has announced the launch of ‘Gallant Knight/2’ operation under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
