Amidst the looming stormy weather in the UAE, private sector companies are urged to implement safety measures to protect their workers. With the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) advising employers to prioritize occupational health and safety, it's essential for firms to ensure the well-being of their employees, especially in outdoor work environments where operations cannot be easily suspended.

The recent circular issued by the MoHRE underscores the importance of taking necessary precautions to safeguard workers during the anticipated weather fluctuations from April 15 to 17. This directive aligns with the broader efforts across the country to address the exceptional weather conditions forecasted for the UAE during this period.

Given the gravity of the situation, private sector companies are instructed to comply with directives from local authorities in each emirate regarding the impact of adverse weather conditions on business operations. This includes adhering to safety protocols and implementing measures to mitigate risks associated with outdoor work environments.

Furthermore, the move towards distance learning for government institutions in Ras Al Khaimah reflects a concerted effort to prioritize the safety of students, teachers, and administrative staff. With classes transitioning to online platforms on April 16 and 17, educational institutions are taking proactive steps to ensure continuity in learning while minimizing potential risks posed by the unstable weather conditions.

In Dubai, schools are also gearing up for the possibility of shifting to online classes, with teachers instructed to prepare study materials in anticipation of a switch to distance learning. These preparations underscore the importance of maintaining educational continuity while prioritizing the safety and well-being of students and staff members.

As the UAE braces for stormy weather conditions characterized by heavy rains, thunderstorms, and potential hail, authorities are urging residents to exercise caution and remain vigilant. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued advisories highlighting significant fluctuations in weather conditions across the country, emphasizing the risks posed by flooding, reduced visibility due to strong winds, and other weather-related hazards.

Residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and heed safety guidelines issued by relevant authorities. By taking proactive measures and implementing necessary precautions, both private sector companies and educational institutions can help ensure the safety and well-being of their employees and students amidst the challenging weather conditions forecasted for the UAE.
