Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi closed on occasion of Eid Al Fitr
The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi has announced closure timings on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
In observance of the holiday, operations will be suspended between Thursday, March 19 and Monday, March 23, 2026,(reported the embassy.
The closure will also be around the occasion of Pakistan Day, which is observed on March 23.
Embassy: Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, March 24.
In the UAE, Eid Al Fitr in 2026 is expected to be on either Thursday, March 19, or Friday (March 20), subject to when the crescent moon is sighted that marks the start of months in the Islamic lunar calendar.
Holiday dates for both federal and private sector employees have been announced by the UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
Dates of the Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal government employees are Thursday, March 19, 2026 to Sunday, March 22, 2026 with work resuming on Monday, March 23, 2026.
In the private sector the holiday will extend from Thursday March 19 to Saturday March 21, 2026. If you typically work Sundays, your return to work date is Sunday, March 22, 2026.
