A click from space to mark the Kingdom's 89th National Day.


KhalifaSat, an earth observation satellite, congratulated the people of Saudi Arabia with an image of the skyscraper Kingdom Centre taken from space. The image is 70 cm in resolution and taken from 6 degrees roll tilt angle.

Located in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the tower is one of the major landmarks in the city.

The 99-storey tower is 302.3m high.

KhalifaSat was fully developed at MBRSC facilities by Emirati engineers and was launched to space in October 2018. It has five patents and seven space innovations making it the most advanced satellite of its category in the world.
