In a significant move towards boosting Emiratisation efforts in Dubai's healthcare sector, the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration aims to accelerate the Emiratisation of the healthcare sector and provide Emiratis with access to professional opportunities in this vital field.

Under the MoU, the two entities will work together to provide incentives to institutions and establishments that offer employment opportunities to Emirati citizens. They will also introduce training and qualification programs to enhance the skills of Emiratis and enable them to play a vital role in the modernization and development of the healthcare sector.

The MoU was signed during the "Health Talents" exhibition. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, highlighted the importance of Emirati talents in the healthcare sector, emphasizing the need to further supply the sector with specialized Emirati talents. He praised the Dubai Health Authority's commitment to supporting Emiratisation efforts in the private medical sector.

Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Director-General of the Dubai Health Authority, noted that the MoU serves as a driving force for localisation strategies in the healthcare sector, encouraging healthcare institutions to employ national cadres. The collaboration between the two entities represents the beginning of an essential phase in localisation efforts and will lead to more initiatives to localise the private healthcare sector in Dubai.

The Dubai Health Authority will also work on increasing the training capacity in specialized medical programs and professional development hours for Emirati medical cadres. The Emirati Human Resources Development Council was established to create an attractive environment that aligns educational outcomes of Emirati students with labor market requirements and prioritizes strategic sectors.

This collaborative effort between the Emirati Human Resources Development Council and the Dubai Health Authority reflects a commitment to Emiratisation and the development of the healthcare sector in Dubai.
