Dubai Police Eye: Community Collaboration Against Crime
Dubai Police have successfully disrupted drug activities and apprehended criminals based on information received from outside the country through the 'Police Eye' service. Major General Eid Mohammed Thani Hareb, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, revealed that valuable information obtained from overseas led to the apprehension of drug dealers and the dismantling of their networks. The 'Police Eye' service, aimed at fostering community engagement, has received a total of 108,100 pieces of information from the public in the past five years, covering areas such as traffic violations, child and women protection, and human trafficking.
During the Police Eye conference held on Thursday, authorities disclosed that 61,287 criminal reports and 46,813 traffic-related reports were among the submissions, showcasing the community's active role in promoting safety, security, and legal compliance.
