Dubai Mall to close some ramps, parking areas; visitors warned of new routes

The Dubai shopping center, or Dubai Mall, recently released a statement through social media announcing that some of the ramps and parking lots will be closed due to expansion construction plans.”
“Dubai shopping mall has announced to the public that there will be some traffic changes and diversions that will be taking place for all visitors during shopping hours.”
Visitors must note that the following attractions will not be accessible:
- The Financial Lower Exit Ramp
- Grand Drive Valet
- Finance upper exit ramp
“Typical traffic flow will be blocked from these locations and will instead flow through Cinema P3 and Grand Drive.”
“Meanwhile, the mall has also released the statement that the ‘Grand Parking’ attraction will be closed for an unknown amount to time, with a possibility reopening in July and a new attraction named ‘Grand Drive’ to open in August.”
“Visitors have been instructed to keep track of the signs placed around multiple points of interest to ensure they arrive on time and they plan ahead.”
“Along with the Mall’s other announcements, it disclosed the Dubai Fountain will be closed for five months during which it will undergo renovations”
“Previously in 2022, on July 1st, Dubai Mall announced that for its parking areas near the Grand Entrance, Cinema Entrance, and Fashion Entrance, the previously complimentary parking became paid due to newly implemented regulations with Salik borders. As for Zabeel and Fountain Views, they remain free.”
An upper limit of AED 1,000 is set for a vehicle parked for a full 24 hours. The parking system without barriers has been set in place.
As per the company’s policies, there are no free hours during weekdays and weekends are 4 hour and 6 hour respectively. Charges accrue after the free time is exceeded.
