Dubai: Diwali fireworks, music show, and traditional market to kick off festival of lights

The festival will start on 25th October and it will go on for about 2 weeks, on 7th November the city will be full of decorations and lights in the spirit of the festival.

A pulsating Dubai is expected when the city celebrates the festival of lights from 25 October to 7 November 2024. During this Deepavali season, Dubai promises to be alive with excitement and entertainment for residents and visitors alike. Wishing “Shubh Deepavali”, residents and visitors will be enthralled with performances, cultural showcases, memorable music, heart-stirring theater, and such thousands of free local activities during the Diwali festivities.

October 25-26 air displays will be on a limited pause at 9 PM followed by a second program from November 1-2, Global Village will fill the air with colorful bursts over paying homage to famous family spots, Al Seef & Global Village will be fireworks filled.

Among other experiences from this Indian festival, a Diwali celebration will take place in Global Village between 28 October – 3 November. It will be full of colorful dances, welcoming illuminations, and many other fascinating things such as colorful traditional Rangoli. Malls will be vibrant at the Festival of Lights Market centers at the India Pavilion showcasing Indian food, Indian Chaat Bazaar street vendors, or fine dining at the connected restaurants.

The Al Seef festival branches will provide activities in the Noor - Festival of Lights on October 25-27, an event created by TeamWork Arts which is free of charge to the public. This three-day fair includes splendid lights, performances, experiences and adornments relating to the festival of Diwali. The events will include puppet procession parades, theatrical plays, recitations of poetry, musical shows, painting and designing classes as well as food from India. Apart from the event it is also an opportunity to visit the traditional market, restaurants and shops of Al Seef all within the 1.8 kilometer promenade area.

For the music fans out there, The Unforgettables series of concerts has been organized as a tribute to the great Jagjit Singh along with his disciple Tauseef Akhtar at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School which is available until October 26.

Another highlight is Meera: Echoes of Love, a production in honor of women honoring and loving women for who they are, which will be held on the 26th October at the Dubai British School Jumeirah Park, covering 70 local artists. As a performance, this production is delightful becasue it features dancing, theatrical, and musical elements.

Deepavali Utsav 2024 will equally take place on the 26th of October at Etisalat Academy in Dubai where traditional games, folk dances, funfair and food stalls will be in plenty.

October 26 is when thePullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers - Hotel & Residence will host a Diwali Fiesta Exhibition that allows shoppers to experience the thrill of Diwali shopping by exploring various Diwali clothing, jewellery, accessories, handbags, home decor, skin care, crafts, and many others.

Moreover, on November 8, the thriller play Barff which has been written, directed, and produced by Saurabh Shukla, is going to be showcased at the Zabeel Theatre and it promises to be a suspenseful event.
