Dubai denies rumour of dangerous Maggie cubes

The Dubai Municipality has refuted rumours concerning Maggie cubes. The rumour alleges that the product contains chicken intestines, nails, and a flavour enhancer called Sodium Glutamate that attacks children's brain cells and may affect the liver and kidneys.

Dubai Municipality denied the rumour on social media, stating that it was not based on any scientific evidence or official health sources. Stating that food additives in the Sodium Glutamate are authorized to be used in accordance with UAE's standards, as well as international standards such as the Codex Alimentarius & European Standards.

Dubai Municipality stressed that it properly inspects all imported and local food shipments to ensure that it is fit for human consumption
