The United Arab Emirates Women's team beat their Netherlands counterpart by six wickets in the 3rd Match of Group A in the ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier at Utrecht.

Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat first, but got off to a dismal start and lost their first wicket for just 18 runs. However, the second wicket fell when the score read 98.

It was a disciplined effort from the UAE bowlers as they restricted the Dutch batting to a just par score of 137.

Heena Hotchandani was the pick of the bowlers as she picked up a couple of wickets and gave away just 18 runs in her quota of four overs.

UAE too got off to a poor start and lost their first wicket for just five  runs. However, Nisha Ali took charge of affairs and played an absolute brilliant innings to shepherd the chase.

The Dutch bowled extremely well and UAE could only muster 36 runs in their first eight overs. Robin Rijke was brilliant as she conceded just seven runs in her first three overs.

Nisha was kept under leash, but after the eighth over she exploded and in the next two overs she looted 29 runs. Robin Rijke too came under the pump as she gave away 10 runs in her final over.

However, Netherlands got the important wicket of Nisha and suddenly the complexion of the match changed. Caroline de Fouw picked up another wicket in the same over and the match was back in the balance.

UAE needed 18 runs in the final two overs.

11 runs were taken off the next over but the Dutch hit back with another wicket. But then Chamani Seneviratne slammed the ball away to seal the deal for her side. This also saw wild celebrations in the UAE camp as the match was indeed a tight affair.
