The process involved genetically modifying immune cells from Murad's own body at ADSCC's Good Manufacturing Practices laboratories, one of the few such labs in the Middle East. The treatment spanned five weeks, with Murad admitted to ADSCC. His immune cells were modified in the lab to target and fight the cancer cells, which were then reintroduced into his body through intravenous injections.

Dr. Yendry Ventura, CEO of ADSCC, called this a significant milestone at the national and regional levels, emphasizing the therapy's potential in fighting diseases using the body's immune system.

The achievement was made possible with the support of the UAE's leadership and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, showcasing the UAE's commitment to advancing medical innovation.

CAR-T cell therapy, previously monopolized by foreign pharmaceutical companies, is now available in the UAE, marking the country as a global destination for medical advancements and research.

Murad's parents expressed their gratitude, emphasizing the importance of this breakthrough for their son's health and recovery.

CAR-T cell therapy is a pioneering treatment that offers hope to patients like Murad and underscores the UAE's commitment to advancing healthcare and medical research.
