Air India Express, a budget carrier, has introduced Xpress Lite fares for passengers traveling between the UAE and India, offering reduced airfares for travelers opting to travel without check-in baggage. This new package aims to provide greater flexibility and convenience to passengers, allowing them to avoid queues at check-in counters and baggage belts. In addition to the discounted fares, passengers booking Xpress Lite fares are entitled to a complimentary +3 kg cabin baggage allowance, enhancing the overall travel experience.

The Xpress Lite fares are applicable on both India-UAE routes, expanding the accessibility of affordable air travel for passengers between the two countries. With a robust network comprising over 340 daily flights, Air India Express serves 31 domestic and 14 international airports, ensuring extensive connectivity for travelers across various destinations.

Operating 195 flights per week between India and the UAE, Air India Express maintains a significant presence in key cities such as Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Ain. The airline also operates 308 flights per week across the Gulf region, further enhancing connectivity for passengers traveling within the region.

Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, emphasized the airline's commitment to expanding its capacity in the Gulf region, including the UAE, to cater to the growing demand for air travel. He highlighted the importance of providing enhanced connectivity to Gulf travelers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across India, thereby facilitating seamless travel experiences for passengers.

Passengers opting for Xpress Lite fares are entitled to an additional 3kg cabin baggage allowance, supplementing the standard 7kg cabin baggage allowance provided by the airline. This allows passengers to carry essential belongings onboard without incurring additional charges, further enhancing the convenience of travel.

Moreover, passengers have the option to pre-book additional check-in baggage allowances at discounted rates for 15kg and 20kg excess baggage slabs. This flexibility enables passengers to tailor their baggage requirements according to their specific needs and preferences, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience.
