Dubai bus accident: Driver admits it was his mistake

The Omani bus driver who crashed into a road barrier in Dubai resulting in the death of 17 people on June 6, has admitted committing a mistake that led to the accident and the wrongful deaths.

Salah Bou Farrucha Al Felasi, advocate-general and head of  the emirate's traffic prosecution, said the 53-year-old driver has confirmed he caused a wrongful death due to his driving mistake.  

The driver is facing multiple charges, with the Dubai traffic prosecution demanding that he pay total blood money of Dh3.4 million.
