Etihad Rail Dubai: Now add Nol one-day pass for Metro, Tram, bus travel

Passengers booking Etihad Rail journeys can now add a Dubai Nol One-Day Pass from Dh22, allowing them to combine inter-emirate train travel with eligible journeys on Dubai Metro, Tram and public buses using a single QR code.

The option comes as Etihad Rail prepares to launch passenger services from Dubai on September 30, connecting Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Golf Estates with Abu Dhabi and Fujairah.

One QR Code for Train and Dubai Public Transport

Passengers who add a Nol One-Day Pass to their Etihad Rail booking can access both their train ticket and public transport pass through a single QR code.

The code will be available on the Etihad Rail app and in the booking confirmation email. Passengers can scan or present it when required during their journey.

Dubai’s Al Yalayis Station is connected to Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line, giving travellers access to the wider public transport network.

Nol One-Day Pass Prices

Etihad Rail’s booking platform offers two Nol One-Day Pass options:

• Regular Nol One-Day Pass: Dh22 per passenger

• Gold Nol One-Day Pass: Dh42 per passenger

• Gold pass holders can use first-class cabins on the Dubai Metro and Tram.

Passengers can choose a Gold Nol pass regardless of their Etihad Rail ticket class. For example, travellers with a Comfort train ticket can still purchase the Gold public transport pass.

Where Can Passengers Use the Pass?

The Nol One-Day Pass covers eligible journeys on:

• Dubai Metro Red and Green lines

• Dubai Tram

• RTA public buses within the applicable zones

Passengers arriving at Jumeirah Golf Estates can transfer to the Metro and continue towards other parts of Dubai. They can also connect to the Tram or bus network where needed.

How to Add a Nol Pass to an Etihad Rail Booking

Passengers can add the pass while booking their Etihad Rail journey by following these steps:

• Select the train journey and proceed to checkout.

• Open the “End-to-End Journey Options” section.

• Select the Nol One-Day Pass.

• Choose either the Regular or Gold option.

• Complete the combined booking.

Passengers can also start through RTA smart channels, including Nol Pay and S’hail, by selecting the Etihad Rail option. They will then be redirected to Etihad Rail’s channels to complete the booking.

Does the Pass Have to Be Used on the Train Travel Date?

No. The Nol One-Day Pass is valid for 90 days from the date of purchase until activation.

Once activated, it is valid for that day only. Passengers do not have to use it on the same day as their train journey and can activate it at any point within the 90-day validity period.

If a passenger misses their Etihad Rail train, the Nol One-Day Pass is non-refundable but can still be used within 90 days of purchase.

Important Rules and Restrictions

The Nol One-Day Pass is issued by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and is subject to its fare policy and applicable terms and conditions.

The pass is intended for one passenger and must not be shared, duplicated or forwarded to another person.
