#7. JOHN ABRAHAM

With his killer looks, chiseled body and excellent acting chops, John Abraham has been a force to reckon with ever since he began his career in the world of modeling and then ventured into films with the super successful erotic thriller ‘Jism’ (2003). The film, which featured his then girlfriend Bipasha Basu, brought him a lot of awards and accolades. Before John Abraham came and surprised everyone with his first film, there was a myth in the industry that models cannot act. But John proved everyone wrong. After ‘Jism’, John went on to work is a number of critically and commercially successful ventures like ‘Dhoom’ (2004), ‘Water’ (2005), ‘Kaal’ (2005), ‘Garam Masala’ (2005), ‘Zinda’ (2006), ‘Babul’ (2006), ‘Taxi No. 9211’ (2006), ‘Dostana’ (2008), ‘New York’ (2009), ‘Force’ (2011), ‘Desi Boyz’ (2011), ‘Housefull 2’ (2012), ‘Race 2’ (2013), ‘Shootout at Wadala’ (2013), ‘Madras Café’ (2013), ‘Welcome Back’ (2015), ‘Dishoom’ (2016), and ‘Force 2’ (2016).

After working in a number of commercially successful films, John decided to turn producer and laid the foundation of his production house JA Entertainment. The first film made under the banner was the groundbreaking film ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012), starring Ayushman Khurrana and Yami Gautam. The movie walked away with a National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. John also received the Creative Entrepreneur of the Year title at the seventh edition of NDTV Profit’s Business Leadership Awards. His other films as a producer also received rave reviews and success at the ticket window. Apart from films and bikes, John is also a fitness freak. If reports are to be believed, the actor is now all set to join forces with British boxing legend David Haye to set up a fitness franchise that will focus on the art of boxing.
